About FatDave

FatDave is a 39 year old contract programmer living in Iowa. He prefers to remain anonymous so he can say whatever the fuck he pleases without pissing off his clients.

FatDave has procreated thrice. He has two boys and a girl, ages 9, 7 and 6 respectively. He also has a wife who assisted in the child-bearing.

When he's not working, writing stupid shit for Bile Duct, or caring for his offspring, FatDave plays guitar, drums and a lot of video games.

FatDave listens to 70's rock and roll, progressive rock, blues, punk rock and occasionally a little jazz.

FatDave is a total geek. His favorite languages are Perl, Java, and C, though he hopes to one day learn Ruby and/or Python. His least favorites are COBOL and Visual Basic. His favortie Monty Python movie is The Life of Brian and his favorite SF novel is Childhood's End by Arthur C. Clarke. His alignment is chaotic good.

Bile Duct was created using mostly jEdit and GIMP, though some Photoshop was used in the early days. All HTML was hand-coded in plain HTML, the way it should be.

The site is served by Apache running on Fedora. Scripting was written in Perl which occasionally hits a MySQL database.
